Vladimir Avetian

I am an AI+ Academic Senior Fellow (tenure track) at King’s Business School, King’s College London.

Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar at University Paris-Dauphine – PSL. I received my PhD in Economics from Sciences Po.

My main research interests are in political economy and urban economics.

Two broad themes in my current research are:

How ideas spread and influence economic, social and political outcomes—and how they are promoted or censored.
How inequality and discrimination shape access to cities.

I also work on bringing AI and unstructured data into economic analysis.

I co-organise Political Economy + AI, an online seminar on political economy research using computational methods.
